Home Movie Day is an annual international celebration taking place at archives and libraries around the world, providing an opportunity for individuals and families to see and share their own home movies with an audience of their community, and to see their neighbors’ in turn.

This year, it's a city-wide celebration in Chicago! Our friends at Chicago Film Archives host their annual Home Movie Dayfrom 11am-3pm at the Chicago History Museum. You bring the films (16mm, 8mm and/or Super 8mm), and CFA will inspect them, project them, and offer tips on storage, preservation, and digitization – all free of charge. Featuring live accompaniment by pianist Dave Drazin!
