A community dinner and evening of films screened outdoors on the side of the last remaining building of the Jane Addams Homes. Films share stories from Robert Taylor Homes through the eyes of legendary historian Studs Terkel, as well as Stateway Gardens, Cabrini-Green, and St. Louis’ Pruitt-Igoe complexes (curated by Media Burn Archives).

The film program includes South Side Home Movie Project clips of the Robert Taylor Homes and Rosenwald Apartments, ca. 1963, from the Nicholas Osborn Collection, and clips of the Jenner Academy schoolyard in Cabrini-Green, ca. 1958, from the David D. and Margaret T. Pitts Collection.

In case of inclement weather, the dinner and outdoor film screening will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Stay up to date by visiting www.nphm.org.
