Parkway Picture Show and the Bronzeville Historical Society are hosting a special screening of select film reels from the Ramon Williams Collection in partnership with the South side Home Movie Project and with support from the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation.
Ramon Williams, ACL was an early adopter of amateur filmmaking and invested in documenting the Bronzeville community in which he lived. He covered major social and civic events throughout Bronzeville between the 1940s and 1960s, including ones at the Parkway Ballroom.
Before the show visit the Bronzeville Historical Society (suite 103) for an open house from 12-2pm.
