Finding Aids
Finding aids are research guides that provide detailed information about archival collections. They help people such as researchers, students, family historians, filmmakers, educators, and community members understand what materials are included within a collection before viewing the individual items.
How to Use Finding Aids
Our finding aids help users understand the content and history of our collections before viewing individual films. Each finding aid provides information about a collection, including the filmmaker, film format, locations, dates, events, and subjects documented in the films. Use our finding aids as guides to explore collections and discover materials within the South Side Home Movie Project archive that relate to your research or personal interests.
